The Power of Touch: Infant and Child Massage for Pre- and Post-Adoptive Parents
Massage is a powerful way to help you and your child bond. For infants, the gentle touch helps ease colic, digestive problems, and fussiness, while enhancing brain development. For older children who are new to your family, massage not only helps with bonding, it can help with sensory integration issues and help make up for the much-needed touch that they didn't get when they were younger. Learn about the power of touch, practice some massage strokes, and hear about the ways you can incorporate massage into your everyday routine. Whether you are already parenting or anticipating an adoption, your child will feel soothed and comforted by your touch. Dolls will be provided for demonstrating the massage techniques.
